Based in Los Angeles, Nickel City Pictures focuses on the development and production of film and television content. The Company launched in 2016 and simultaneously closed an exclusive development financing partnership with leading European film and television distributor, Telepool GmbH. The company has a robust slate of high-profile, commercial content in development and production with leading writers, filmmakers and actors. Since 2020, Nickel City has been produced of over a dozen feature films; including Solo Mio starring Kevin James for Angel Studios, Playdate for Amazon Prime, Hulu’s Sex Appeal; Universal’s The List; Haunt, directed by Scott Beck & Bryan Woods; Marlowe, starring Liam Neeson; Land of Bad, starring Liam Hemsworth and Russell Crowe; Sleeping Dogs, starring Russell Crowe & Karen Gillan; and Blood For Dust, starring Kit Harrington and Scoot McNairy.

Mark Fasano

CEO & Producer

Mark Fasano is a Partner and the CEO of Nickel City Pictures. Mark has developed and produced over a two dozen films and recently was a Producer on Land of Bad, starring Liam Hemsworth & Russell Crowe; Marlowe, starring Liam Neeson; Boys of Summer, starring Mel Gibson; and Scott Beck and Bryan Wood’s Haunt.  Mark previously was president of production and PalmStar Media, where he developed and produced Netflix’s True Memoirs of an International Assassin, starring Kevin James; Collateral Beauty, starring Will Smith; American Ultra, starring Jesse Eisenberg & Kristen Steward and John Wick, starring Keanu Reeves.

Prior to 2012, Mark worked with acclaimed writer/producers such as David E. Kelly, Gary Scott Thompson, and Doug Liman at both Universal and Warner Bros.  Mark subsequently worked directly with John Herzfeld at New Redemption Pictures where he helped develop and produce two feature films as well as two television series which were sold to the Starz network and HBO in just over a year.  Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television from The University of California, Los Angeles.

Matthew Alex Goldberg

VP of Film & Television

Matthew Alex Goldberg is currently the Vice President of Nickel City Pictures. Matthew oversees the feature and television production slate for Nickel City including projects such as Solo Mio starring Kevin James, Whodunnit starring Lana Condor, Randall Park, Jack Whitehall, and Robbie Amell, and PLAYDATE starring Kevin James and Alan Ritchson. He has most recently produced Whodunnit, along with executive producing several films such as Solo Mio, Playdate, A Bear Country starring Russell Crowe, and Runner starring Owen Wilson and Alan Ritchson. His other credits include Sleepings Dogs starring Russell Crowe and Blood for Dust starring Scott McNairy, Kit Harrington, and Josh Lucas. Matthew previously worked at Davis Entertainment and prior to that was a book coordinator at The Gotham Group helping sell film & television rights.
